Directions and Parking

Taking the T

Harvard Square is less than a ten minute walk from the MCZ. The MBTA red line and a variety of buses serve Harvard Square. From the Square, walk through Harvard Yard to Oxford Street and continue north towards Everett Street. The MCZ (Museum of Comparative Zoology) and HMNH (Harvard Museum of Natural History) share the same building at 26 Oxford Street. The large brick building is set back from the street. MCZ 101 is accessed by entering the building via the set of stone steps to the left of the HMNH entrance.

Oxford Street Parking Garage

Driving

Parking is available in the Oxford or Everett Street Garage with advance arrangement, as described here. Oxford Street (south of its intersection with Everett Street) and Massachusetts Ave. have some metered street parking. Metered spaces are free after 6 PM but it can be difficult to find an open parking space during the early evening. You should also be aware that unmetered street parking spaces are reserved for Cambridge residents.

Directions, more public transportation details and additional information about parking can be found at the Harvard Museum of Natural History trip planning webpage.
